Why We Should Show Mom We Care .....

Beautiful Girls, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say you've know you're Mom pretty much your whole life. Haha. Lame joke, I know! Well ... to be honest, your Mom didn't HAVE to be there for all the additional dance recitals, soccer games, drama rehearsals, late night school projects, staying up late baking her famous chocolate chip cookies, watching chick flicks or taking you shopping to all of your favorite stores. BUT, guess what? She was there. The Lord blessed you with a Mother who loves you so much that she would want nothing more than to be your biggest cheerleader. Thanks, Mom! :) That's why it's important that you remember that this Sunday is Mother's Day - a wonderful opportunity to go the "extra mile" to show Mom you care. I know what you're thinking ... I don't have a lot of money to do anything big for my mom?! Guess what? Mom doesn't need (although, maybe your dad would pitch in a few bucks) fancy jewelry ... she wants you to do what YOU can to show her how much you care....perhaps, serve her breakfast in bed, bake her a special dessert or pitch in to make her a nice lunch or dinner, make her a special card/poem (or song....Mom, you remember these "wondrously" horrendous songs, don't you?) ... surprise her by cleaning the house or give her a foot massage!

So, grab the markers, pens, chocolate, or whatever ingredients you have in mind ... show Mom you care this Sunday (and preferably EVERY day).

PS - even if you didn't know your "birth mother," think of the beautiful Woman who has taken that "Mother" role in your life and let her know how much you appreciate her.
